Fire Mitigation
North Central Fire is a dedicated volunteer fire department that exemplifies community service through its team of 18 trained volunteers. While operating on an all-volunteer basis, these individuals undergo rigorous training to ensure they meet professional standards in firefighting and emergency response. This commitment to training empowers them to effectively handle a wide range of emergency situations, from structure fires to medical emergencies.
The volunteers at North Central Fire participate in regular drills, continuing education, and specialized training programs, which enables them to stay current with the latest firefighting techniques and safety protocols. Their dedication not only enhances their individual skills but also fosters a strong sense of teamwork and camaraderie within the department.

Being a volunteer fire department allows North Central Fire to engage closely with the community, building relationships and trust among residents. North Central Fire Protection District’s firefighting apparatus:
- 1 Type 1 Structure fire engine 2x4, 1500 GPM pump, 1000 gallons
- 1 Water tender 2x4, 150 GPM pump, 3000 gallons, 3500 gallon drop tank for static water supply
- 1 Type 4 6x6 Brush Fire engine, 350 GPM pump, 2000 gallons
- 2 Type 4 6x6 brush fire engine, 350 GPM pump, 1000 gallons
- 1 Type 5 4x4 Rescue engine, 150 GPM, 400 gallons
Additional information about the North Central Fire Protection District:
- North Central Fire Protection District has a cistern located at the station with 30,000 gallons of water that is utilized to refill pumpers and tenders
- North Central Fire Protection District has mutual aid agreements with all the fire departments in our county. They are usually 10-15 minutes behind us responding to a fire. These other fire departments will bring more firefighters, tenders and pumpers
