Burn Restrictions:
Elbert County currently has no restrictions for recreational fires as defined in the links below. There are state and local permits required for burning outside of the above mentioned.
In Case of Emergency
In case of an emergency requiring police, fire, or medical assistance, please call 911 directly for immediate help. Do not call the firehouse, as emergency response teams are dispatched through the 911 system to ensure the fastest response. Remember, 911 is the quickest way to reach the help you need in an urgent situation.
State Burn Permit
The State of Colorado requires a state burn permit be obtained prior to NCFPD being able to issue a local burn permit. This applies for any burn involving vegetation or slash piles.
